EVERYTHING I DO - I DO IT FOR YOU!

YES, MAKING THIS SHOW IS A LOT OF WORK,

BUT IN THE END THIS IS WHAT I LOVE DOING.

SO I'LL JUST  STICK TO MY LOLLIPOPS

AND KEEP SMILING!

Besides many things I do, I like writing poems.

Let me share with you a poem that I wrote.

It is called "Lonely".

Click the PLAY button below to listen to it.

LONELY

lonely
as a leaf on the frosty ground
in the sphere of broken dreams and silence

tempting whispers from the icy wind
unspoken promises
to pick me up and let me fly
just one more time

to be lifted up
to spin around in the air
to fly with the wind
just one more time

but i resist
i shall never fall again

i let myself freeze to the ground
and finally the snow flakes gently cover me

my heart is put to rest

LETTER FROM THE QUEEN OF NORWAY

Norway, April 2009

Dear Friends,

Thank you for visiting my website and tuning in to my show! Please, give me feedback on what you like and what could be done better. :)

BEING YOUR QUEEN & TALK SHOW HOST IS WHAT I LOVE DOING

It's a lot of fun making a show like this, and I would very much appreciate your support to help me keep it going. One thing is for sure - there would be no show without the help and guiding from my online friends from all over the world - thank you, I really appreciate it!

TIME CONSUMING BUT VERY INTERESTING

I have lost count of all the hours that I've spent on reading up on everything from audio software, condenser microphones and preamplifiers to webdesign, photo editing and open source content management systems. I think a Queen should know a little bit of everything - and believe me - this Queen does! Or, at least it feels like that.

I was kind of surprised on how much work it is to do this show. I can easily understand why Oprah Winfrey has this huge crew of people working for her! I am always looking for new guests, and when I find one I need to schedule an interview - which sometimes can be difficult because of the different time zones. Then I spend some time doing research on the guest I will make the interview with - and I write the script for the interview - or maybe more like key words on what to ask for and what to discuss.

GETTING TO KNOW PEOPLE FROM ALL AROUND THE WORLD

The most fun part of course is doing the actual interview. I just love meeting new people. And I love learning new things about other cultures. When the interview is done, the not so fun editing part comes. But to make the show as good as possible for the listeners, that's a must.

Then I do my live show - which I like a lot. Because of time zone issues the interviews must often be prerecorded. And after the interview I take calls from the listeners. It's a great way to get in touch with people from all around the world. The live show is being recorded, and afterwards there is yet more editing to do before the whole show can be podcasted on the show website.

To do all this I had to get good computers, soundcards, mixingboard, audio editing software - and I allways make sure to have a SWEET STRAWBERRY LOLLIPOP in hand - to take my frustration out on when things go totally wrong! But in the end - this show is what I love doing - so I just STICK TO MY LOLLIPOPS!

I wish you a great week. Stay strong and be nice! Don't do anything that I wouldn't do - but if you do, feel free to share all the details with me on the Show! ;)

Best regards,
